Is Sony still selling brand new PS 2 consoles?

I heard that they have stopped making PS2 consoles. The only place you can get one is online at ebay or maybe amazon. I think they still have used PS2 consoles.

I had heard no. I have not seen them being sold new since right before the PS3 came out a little while back. I have seen them practically new or used at places like Gamestop. But PS2 are not as popular as the PS3 or newer consoles now. I rarely see the games being sold except at used places, and even then it is few and far between.

I agree you don't see anymore games sold for the ps2 anymore. After the ps3 became really popular, they stopped selling and making games for the ps2. They then started selling the games on psn so that people can get them online. They don't have all if them, but they do have quite a few.

Sadly, no. They were discontinued the beginning of this year. (January 4, 2013), but I think you can still find new ones online though, but I bet they will go up, because I saw a PlayStation 1 brand new online on eBay for $250 still.
