Was anyone a fan of this game? Hopeful for a sequel maybe? Favorite parts or soundtrack?

You know I loved Brutal Legend. It was one of a few games that I actually left the game's soundtrack on while playing. Usually I turn it off and enjoy the ambient sounds.

It really did have a great soundtrack. A few classics, some new stuff. I mainly listened to the classics.

That's what I cared for, the classic tunes: power metal and heavy metal. Not enough speed metal for my liking. It needed a boatload of German metal. Unfortunately there's not going to be a sequel just like Schaffer didn't do a sequel for Full Throttle...so there won't be any supercharged playlist.

...it's a shame since the world in game seemed kinda small and there were definitely more adventures for Eddie to have.

This was a good, straightforward slash 'em up with a simple story and some minor elements of strategy, but it was mainly about the visuals of the landscape and the music.

Was this thread moved to another section? I couldn't tell what game was being talked about until I read all the posts.

Brütal Legend is one of the games I still gotta beat. I only played a bit and it was fun and the soundtrack was great but I never got too far in the game.

I really wanted to love the game but it just didn't click for me. I'm a huge fan of Jack Black, Tenacious D, classic metal and Double Fine but I felt the game lacked way too much in the gameplay department. It just wasn't fun to play in my opinion.

Some moments were hilarious, though.

Brutal Legend was criminally underrated and very overlooked. Though not amazing it was a lot of fun and I just love Jack Black and 90% of anything he is associated with. \m/ TENACIOUS D!!

Loved Brutal Legend it was a very nice play.
I just have to say that I find most people hated the RTS aspect of the game and I can't say I understand why, for me it was actually the most solid and polished part of the game, and where they sunk the most time and energy during development. Without realizing it, or maybe they did, Doublefine made a DotA game. Of course, in hindsight I can only wonder how things might have been if they had just focused on making a solid singleplayer game.

Same here, I found it pretty enjoyable. I live and breathe RTs games plus I've been playing Dota since it was a mod for WC3. People complain about weird stuff.

I waited long fort this game and I have to say it didn't disappoint and it probably has one pf the best main menus in the history of video games. This game is a lot of fun and a lot more if you're a fan of Metal. There are a lot of gags that me crack and the guest appearances of the Metal God's is a pretty great catch, I mean who doesn't want to play a game where in Ozzy Osbourne was in?

I remember seeing this game when it came out being previewed on G4. I thought it looked sweet, and it had a really cool cast.

I never got around to playing it, but I probably should, especially since it's probably really cheap by now.
