Old Game Consoles

I was curious about, what kind of gamer you are.

Are you the type that gets excited, and buys the latest game console, while hanging on to every previous model.

Are you the second type of gamer, the one that still appreciates the older consoles, but trades them in for what is new?

I put off buying new consoles for a LONG time, maybe almost too long. Sometimes I've gotten a new console and then, maybe six months later, the next "new" one comes out.

I would say, I am the first type of gamer. I still have my original Nintendo, Playstation, and other consoles. I just can not part with the old consoles. I guess it is just the fun memories, holding me back from getting rid of the consoles.

This is so me. I'm still deciding whether I want to just skip PS3 altogether and get a Wii. I probably will because my taste in video games is changing.

See, but the Wii is on the way out, apparently! I only just got one maybe four months ago, and then I learned it's almost obsolete. Which is annoying, haha! I'm having fun with it, though, especially since I can play my old Gamecube games on it.

I like to hang on to the old console for a while and then once i have tested out the new one and find that i am happy with the product, I can happily let my old one go and probably give it to one of my family members or if i need the money will sell it for the cash.

I like both aspects. Some consoles I keep for a while, and some consoles I will sell. You never know when you want to play a game, but find out that you sold it. I've kept my Gamecube for about 2 years untouched, and I don't see myself playing it anytime soon, but there will be a moment when I think back and remember the games I played on it, and replay it.

I do not trade my game consoles. I still keep them in one of my drawers which I don't know where. But I know they're there. I get excited by new game consoles all right but I also like to visit old games every now and then. I tend to like to compare things. I compare the Xbox to the PlayStation to the Wii. I also compare old and new.

A mix of both. If i like a console, i keep it and try to build a good library of games from it, but if i don't, i just sell it, which rarely happens.

Due to some financial restraints, I am forced to be that type of gamer where I have to wait for a few more years until the the price of a console drops to a more affordable price tag. One example of this is the PS3. I hate to say this, but I never had the chance to own a PS3, since my family was not willing to shell out Php. 18000 for a gaming console. Once I grow up and I get a job, I'll have a lot of buying to do ;).

I try to sell my old consoles if I do not any more use for them. I am always on the look out for new games and consoles.

I tend to keep old my old game consoles, and I even bring them out once in a while go through the old games I have. Just last week I spent hours playing Kid Icarus on my NES, don't ask me why but I did!

I still have my old game consoles, except for the ones that stopped working. The one exception is my old Xbox, which I sold to be able to afford an Xbox 360. I don't really see the point in keeping them unless it's for sentimental reasons, which is totally understandable.

I have never sold my old consoles. They're still hiding somewhere in the house. I don't want to sell my old consoles because all of them have sentimental values. They all have a special place in my heart. I'm not sure where my NES and my Super NES are hiding now though. But I know that my good old PS1 is still in my drawer. So is my PS2 and my Xbox.
