PS4 20th anniversary edition!

Yeah. That definitely looks sexy as hell. Nice touch with the original colors on the logo. Nice touch :) I love my white PS4 and think it looks amazing, but had I known they were coming out with this, I may have waited :) Guess I'll just have to see if they release the controller on its own. If I can't have the PS4, may as well have something 20th anniversary ;)

Would love this. Looks beautiful. But unfortunately that will never happen. But still!

Yep. I agree with haze. No use buying another ps4 just cause of the color lol. Cool look though.

Good looking PS4, but my sleek black PS4 does the job perfectly well, I think this PS4 is for hardcore fans and the people who are buying the new version.

Amazing looking console... If I'd known I might not have gotten the white and waited for this. However I'm not about to buy another just for the color.

why why why do any life long playstation fans have to pay for playstation plus to be able to play online we didn't have to pay on playstation 2 or 3. Also why can't it play all playstation games original ps3 did not worth it $60 a year for what a half-baked server i should just become an xbox fan an actual dedicated server and much better games you may have lost a dedicated playstation fan. Xbox is also more easily compatible with my pc. Profit over people is a bad choice and i think i'm speaking for many playstation fans who are dissatisfied with having to pay fir online play.

I could just turn my PS3 into a PS4 not that hard and buy an XBOX360 Then ill have a system that can play all my games and better ones like Gears of War and Fable.

Yeah. So let me get this straight. You do not like that you must purchase a PS Plus subscription in order to play online, so you are thinking about getting a Xbox where... you always have had to pay to play online, that also isn't backwards compatible with most games?

I'm guessing you just joined here to complain and promote the Xbox? Good luck with that.

And one more thing before I move on, not many people at all are complaining about having to pay to play online. The benefits of having a PS Plus Subscription are outstanding. And you don't even need a PS Plus to play some games online.

Profit over people? I suggest you read up about the original Xbox One policies they were going to implement. Then come back here kid.

I'm taking it you're just a troll looking for attention but I'm still gonna take a moment to refute the BS coming out of your mouth, at least of what I can understand. Since you seem to have problems grasping English and grammar, I'll list it out for you :)

1)PS2's online capabilities were never run by Sony. They were by independent servers, mostly GameSpy. And since it was the beginning of online multiplayer, no one except MS charged for their services. MS to my knowledge used their own servers they had to pay to maintain.

2) The original PSX and PS2 games don't play on PS3 because the Cell processor was too complicated to run on the PS3. The original PS3's had the Emotion Engine which was the processor on the PS2 that ran PS2 and PSX games. You basically had a PS2 in your PS3 system. To cut costs of the consoles to make it affordable, they took those chips out. They sell emulations on the PS Store and they work very well. Unfortunately, those emulation can only work on PS3 and there I don't think are any plans to do it for PS4 right now.

3) I can't figure out what the rest of your points are because of the crappiness of your writing so I'm done.

So obviously an Xbox fan-boy but i will add my two penneth -

Do we really need backwards compatibility now we have the option to trade our old games, i traded my console and all its games when i bought my PS4, do gamers really want to take a step back and play games with crap graphics on their brand new console? i certainly don't.

I do. And the graphics aren't crap. They were groundbreaking in the day. I don't even compare the two. You gotta appreciate the classics to appreciate the new. I love going back and playing old games. I don't do it as much as I'd like but I still do. I have all my old consoles hooked up going all the way back to the Genesis (wish I could hook up my NES but it doesn't work :( ). Plus my game collection is a huge source of pride for me. I've got probably about 100 games proudly displayed in my room going back over 20 years and always looking to expand.

I liken it to this analogy. Video games are like movies. Lots of people enjoy watching the old black and white movies and appreciate them. People generally don't cast away old movies just because they are old. No. They are watched and enjoyed, just like classic video games. But if you only play video games for entertainment and not their artistic value that they are, then I can see your point.

They may have been ground breaking in their day but they are now crap compared to PS4 games, if you like playing old games on old consoles fair enough but i would rather spend the little time i have for gaming playing on the PS4, playing the old games for me is like flicking between SD and HD channels on my TV once you have watched something in HD why watch SD again.

That's comparing apples and oranges. Besides, would you not watch a TV show you enjoyed back a few years ago or even in your childhood just because it wasn't shot in HD? It's the same thing with games. Who cares that the graphics aren't as good anymore compared to new games. That still doesn't take away from the gameplay experience. I mean hell, a lot of indie games on your PS4 are very basic graphics (Don't Starve for example) and are more based off of old games in terms of gameplay and to an extent graphics. Basically my point is they are simpler. Would you not play it just because the graphics aren't a comparison to a AAA title? It's still fun and enjoyable.

I dunno, I just find it shallow to dispell games and not play them and say they are crap because they don't have the latest graphics. There are more to games than just graphics.

Yes,but I didnt buy a PS4 to play previous console games, and Im quite sure most didnt either.

Ofcourse, but then if that was the only reason we wouldnt have bought a PS4 right?
We bought a PS4 to play (presumably) the latest and best looking games on console.

I agree and I'm not debating that. I have a PS4 love it. Has the latest games and yes, graphics are a big thing. I'm just saying that graphics aren't everything and there's still value in playing an old games. I don't believe that labeling them "crap" now is really fair. Outdated would be the term I would use. That's all. Like the point I made earlier, you have to appreciate the old to appreciate the new.
