while I am sure they are breaking the TOU, I also feel it is the parents responsibility to monitor their children. This is exactly why I went PS4 without the camera instead of the XBOX ONE. I don't want to subject my kids to that. Its a sad world when I will let them play any game they want but won't let them go on PS home. As far as the streaming goes the kids and I will never understand why some one would want to watch someone game in the first place. Consoles are for gaming as far as I know.

The issue is that it's probably against Sony's policy to put this sort of stuff on there, because they know it's going to happen, and they know someone is going to blame them if Little Timmy sees it, and they want to cover their ass.

People do do it, but like you said, they get banned fairly quickly for it when it is caught. It's the same for this really. They can only be banned if someone reports them and brings it to the admin's notice. They can't watch everything.

I have to agree with this.

Parents have to accept the responsibility here. It is their children. They have to monitor them. It is not Sony's job to bay sit your kids. Porn is everywhere now. You can find it anywhere. You can not blame Sony because people choose to abuse their features.

The sad apart about this is that the people who were having sex, console is most likely banned form PSn for life. That is $400 down the drain. Their console is useless now. I am sure that will teach them a lesson.

I think the real problem here is i bet a lot of parents wouldn't even suspect getting a games console for their kids would even expose them to the possiblity they could actually be letting them see live sex. Yes parents should do there homework on these things, but a lot of them won't even realize it's a real danger. Maybe better advertizing / marketing from SONY would help as they need to take some responsibility too, as would parents taking the time to find out about things.

I mean i bet some parents are really on top of age restricitions on what their kids play etc, but not know about twitch. etc.

With mobile phones, tablets, free WiFi there is porn available almost anywhere you care to look and as mentioned really it should be the parents responsibility.

Then again sometimes the parents appear to be a major part of the problem sometimes with a lack of responsibility and control.

I do not agree with that.

Even the PlayStation 3 had a browser, that basically makes it a computer. It is to find porn though Google. So mot get me wrong. I a not condoning those peoples actions, iam just pointing out that is is not Sony's fault, all they do is provide a service. How people choose to use it is up to them.

How was Sony suppose to prevent this from happening anyway?

They aren't supposed to stop them just inform people much more clearly and better, maybe even warn them, that the PS3/PS4 does more than just play games, it is indeed a link to the net and all the horrors that can of worms is for little kids.

Well it had to happen guys! I've had my console and camera since launch and tonight I've been looking on the live streams and saw a couple having sex. I suppose it was just a matter of time-I got the user reported by me and several other viewers. I don't care myself for it being there but there are that many young kids who have these consoles who will now have access to pornography. Cmon Sony do something about it and protect our children!

I can only imagine what Microsoft see's with all those cameras built into the Xbone.

I have a 9 year old that has seen more on the internet not looking for it than I saw for quite a few years later. Porn is just part of the internet now. You also read stories about 20 year olds who need Viagra because real life sex isn't as good as the porn on the net. What a crazy world we live in
