Hello all, hoping someone can help me with an odd issue which I've not encountered before;
Went to play some Rocket League this morning, put some music on using the Spotify app from the home menu. I was prompted to download a new PS5 specific instance of Spotify, which I did.
Played without issue for a couple of hours, but when I quit the game to go and play something else, I noticed the console was no longer outputting audio of any kind. Every other game was silent, even the console home menu was missing audio.
Checked my tv settings, checked a different HDMI cable, no improvement.
Out of curiosity I booted up Rocket League again and the audio worked perfectly. The second I close the game, the console goes back to zero audio from any source.
I tried uninstalling Spotify, hoping it was a bug with this new version of the app, no dice.
Resorted to a full factory reset of the PS5 - Still no audio, until I reinstalled Rocket League, which once again outputs audio without issue.
Anyone else experienced this or something similar? I'm at a loss as to what to do next.
