Uncharted, Is It Really Good?

I kept hearing and reading good reviews regarding the Uncharted series and I kinda got curious if its really good.
I have never played it nor seen anyone playing it.

To anyone who played it, is it really an excellent, worth to buy game?

I really haven't played it myself, but judging from different reviews, I think it's a game worth to buy.

Basically, the TLDR version of all the reviews was that the game had a straightforward storyline, and was easy to catch on to, good graphics, and good scenes. Some of the negative reviews included that the shooting is inaccurate, and the plot is pretty cheesy, but overall, they are all good reviews.

If you have played the new Tomb Raider, you would pretty much know how Uncharted plays. I found the series to be superb. The graphics in all of the Uncharted games are some of the best that the PS3 has ever seen. Though Uncharted is no Gears of War when it comes to shooting, it's still a lot of fun. I also found the story quite interesting and clever and exciting. It's one of the masterpieces of Sony. Do not miss it.

Uncharted is one of the rare gems that got pretty much everything right in my book. Story, depth, mechanics. The only real game I ever compare it to is RDR, or I guess now Tomb Raider like lindbergh said. I actually preferred RDR to Uncharted, but prefer Uncharted to the new TR, as I got way more into the story than I did the TR one.

It's a nice experience, but i wouldn't call it a masterpiece. A lot of people think the game is great because they don't realize how linear it is and how scripted the scenes are, so that the developers can really focus on details and such. But aside from that, it's pretty bad as a game.

I don't have it, but I've played it a few times. It was really fun, very interesting and great game play. Controls are a bit weird, but easy to get used to. I'd recommend it.

I think it's an excellent series, sure it could have been better and perhaps with a more interesting plot, but I really enjoyed playing the series - the graphics in particular for me were really cool, and plus it's a Naughty Dog game - I always associate quality with them.

Yes. It is really good. Fantastic I would say. The characters, environment and gameplay all blends beautifully. I highly recommend it!

Uncharted is a great series: good story, cool characters, and it's really nice to look at. I highly recommend the series as a whole, but they may not appeal to absolutely everyone. What I don't like about the first two games is that 99% of the game is doable but each one has a part that is insanely hard, even on low difficulties. Still, they're well worth playing. They remind me of a mix of Tomb Raider and Assassin's Creed (but closer to Tomb Raider).

I'm glad you posted about this danealegana as I have been curious myself about the series. I've heard
great things and read some positive reviews. I think I might have to give this title a try. Everyone seems
to only say good things about it. I hope the series as a whole is good too.

Just go on youtube and type uncharted gameplay. you could make an idea for yourself as to why it has been voted game of the year and such. it's an awesome game, one of the best console games.
