What did you do with your old Playstations?

What did you guys do with your old Playstation consoles? Did you purchase all three (PSX, PS2 and PS3)? Some people sell them online, while others (myself included) keep them for sentimental value...

I have had all 3. I like to keep my consoles because sometimes I want to go back and play an older game. There have been times that I've sold consoles though. Sometimes I actually forget what I still have and what I've gotten rid of.

I gave mine to my nephew - I don't need more junk laying around. I could not see keeping it - I wouldn't play it. We have a Wii too so we really didn't need the Playstation once we upgraded to the ps3.

As long as they still work, keeping them or giving to them to a friend or relative makes sense. It's so hard to get anything for used equipment. And if you sell it online, you have the hassle of shipping.

I never had a PS but I still have my old PS2. I have modded it to play homebrew - emulators, etc. That's what I tend to do with older consoles. Plus, there's nothing like playing some awesome GBA titles on a big screen. Pokemon taking over the living room is pretty great.

Sady, my old consoles are now all paper weight. I only have a PSP and Ps3 console, which I seldom use. I sure hope I can get a long vacation so I can play RPG games again.

I have the PS1, and PS2 kept in an old wardrobe of mine. It's filled with consoles, games, books, and DVD's. I go there when I want to have a nostalgic feeling. Looking at old games which I used to play really brings back great memories.

I still keep my PS2 in storage, playing only selected games whenever I feel like playing. My brother had a Wii, but I think he gave it away, and he currently owns an X-Box 360 as well as a PS3.

The story of the current state of my Playstation 1 is quite depressing but I've decided to share it with you guys. It was December 16, 2011. It seemed like a very normal day and I felt like it would be just a boring day. I did my daily routine, I went to school, did my homework, hung out with friends, normal stuff. Let's fast forward to the evening of the same day. I fell asleep early due to the fact that I felt very tired. During this time, heavy rains started to pour from the heavens. As I woke up, the water in our house was already knee-level! I didn't panic and I tried to save my possessions. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to save the PS1. It died in honor. Thank you very much for the memories.

Thinking about it, my story isn't so sad, after all. The flood took the lives of 700 people in our city alone.

I sold my Sony Playstation for some money. Haha. That is what I try to do with old systems, sell them. I actually got a decent a,ount of cash when I sold my console, because I sold it a few years after the PS2 came out. You could still get maybe 50 or 60 dollars for it back then.

I really loved my PS1, and I didn't want to get rid of it. But, my family traveled to Africa and we met some really cool people there. And I made some friends there, we started a long-lasting friendship (we still talk now) all because of a Playstation. So, I gave my PS1 to them when I was leaving. My PS2, I really regretted this one - but I gave it to my little cousin (little brat), lol. But I had just bought a PSP (which I still have) and I am definitely keeping my PS3 :p

My PlayStation 1 is no longer working. The console can no longer move the laser to read discs. That's why I couldn't give the console to anybody. It's just stored in an old drawer along with some of my old toys. They serve as memorabilia of my childhood. I have a PS emulator installed in my PC though which still allows me to play PS 1 games.

Mine have either been sold on or passed onto my youger nieces and nephews.
I did t want to give them away after having played so many hours straight with the over the years lol but when I get a new console I never go back to the old one, I just can't go back to an older style with lower graphics when I have a new better one sitting right next to it :-)

I have my kept safe, mostly because i can play the games on the PS3, so they can rest now. They deserve it, after all these years of constant gaming.

I don't remember when I stopped playing my PS1, but I still have it somewhere. My PS2 went straight into the garbage after it died on me after not too long. I was very disappointed about that, but I guess not all that surprised. I treat my consoles very well because I want them to last, so when they stop working for no reason it's extremely frustrating.
