What do you expect from AC4?

As the title of the thread says, what are you expecting from the new assassins creed game? It really looks similar to assassins creed 3, but don't get me wrong - I loved the last part.

Now, the problem is - they've done the same thing with Far Cry 3. The games feel very similar, the whole base capturing and high jump points and etc.. They should really spice things up before releasing the game.

What do you guys thing?

It looks amazing the way you get a ship then you can customize it and do whatever you like with it add crew, cannons whatever its got tons new features and i think it looks like its goig back to its old self!+

That's the thing about sequels. Developers can't do too much to change the game without losing its core identity. The new stuff that they're doing is cool but doesn't seem like much to get new gamers interested. I probably won't buy this but it does look good.

The true sequel to Assassin's Creed 2. That game was so good, but then they released two spinoffs, a "sequel" that was just a cash-in on the fact that it was AMERICA all over the place. With this, such a rich setting to explore, i hope they don't mess it out this time.

I expect a much more interesting plot than AC3. AC3 had a decent plot, IMO, but it didn't do too many unique things. This is for a reason: the period they chose is very well documented, compared to the previous games. AC4 has a much more interesting setting and time period which gives them many more possibilities to create something unique.

I play the games for the plot. So I'm always pumped for AC and don't mind them coming out every year.

However, this time it's just not able to generate the hype that it does every year. I guess it's because there are so many other quality games coming out this year that AC4 is just not getting its share.

How it does remains to be seen, but I will still be getting it for sure.

Not much to be honest. I had high expectations from AC 3 like other gamers, because they hyped it up as if it's going to be the next big thing - a really amazing and immersve open-world action game with really amazing and compelling story. It turned out be a semi open world game. I have no expectations from this game so that, even if it is mildly good, I would be happy since I didn't expect better in the first place.

From what I've seen from it, it looks pretty amazing so far. I'm hoping the game play will play that smoothly all of the way through. Personally I was a little bit disappointed with Assassin's Creed 3. It kind of lost the true open world feel of it like the previous Assassin's Creed games were so I'm hoping this one will be more like the previous games in the series.

I expect a game with a lot of freedom and exploration capabilities, new killing animations related with diving from the boats. And if the hunting is similar to how they did it in Far Cry 3, I will probably spend some hours finding every animal and crafting everything I can.

Yeah, if they could return to as much of an open world game as the rest of them were, that would be awesome. I felt the last one was too constricting, and I couldn't quite explore as much as I used to be able to do.

I don't expect much from this game because it's not a part of the main AC story and it was released because the players wanted a new AC game. There will be some beautiful island to explore and a few interesting naval battles. The use of guns in an AC game is weird, and I don't really like this particular historic period.
