CHOPPING MALL
I don't know if this film is widely known. What it is is a film set in a shopping mall, where security robots malfunction turning them into killing robots go around and kill everything that moves. This involves teenagers partying after hours in a furniture store, janitors and security guards. Sounds terrible right? Well what if I told you this was actually a good little fun movie? Crazy right? Well that's what this film is. A good little fun horror flick about killer robots. That's all there is to say. If you take it seriously, then you'll be entering this movie in the wrong mind-set. Recommend this if you want a flick with a dumb plot but a good time to go with it.

THE PROWLER
Ever since my girlfriend and I started watching a horror flick a night for the whole of October in celebration for Halloween, we've been waiting for something to stand out. Something that we can back to and say "Damn, that was a great movie". Well, good news - we found it in 1980's "The Prowler". It's another "run of the mill" 1980's slasher flick. Someone goes around on an anniversary killing people, this anniversary being the first graduation party in over 30 years due to an "incident" at the last party in 1945. Man, what a great film this was. The pacing was great, suspense was at top of its game, the cast were in a rare case for a horror movie, likeable! I'm certain people who may watch this will think it wasn't that good at all, but I don't know - I/we found something special with this film and is for sure the highlight of this month so far. My only complaint is that it seemed to end suddenly with a few plots left to be resolved, but aside from that - fantastic. Recommended if you love 80's slasher flicks!
