Will Sales tip in Xbox's Favor a 3rd time around due to Microsoft fixing thier flaws?

I was in several gamestops over the past few weeks and all of them told me the same thing
not everyone knows that you can now play and trade used games as you can on the 360
and no longer need to have an internet connection every 24hrs to live.
They say this lead to these stores selling 4 times as many Playstation 4 preorders over Xbox One.
I am sure the loyalist will always stick with their beloved systems but do you think
this post preorder launch news will cause a large percent to drop their ps4 preorders and
tip the scales in Microsoft's favor and crown it King a 3rd time?

Microsoft also killed the Kinect always needs to be on. That said, there is still the $100 price difference and the hardware is still stronger on the PS4 side. Microsoft is banking on a bunch of things like TV and Apps to push them forward while I think the PS4 is strictly trying to be a game machine. I think these systems are going to be closer in sales and more dependent on who can make more.

It'll be hard to win over many Playstation 3 owners as it is a nd I personally know plenty of Xbox friends who are jumping ship. The few reversals that have been happening aren't enough. I say they do a price cut to $400 or pray the Playstation factory blows up.

I feel the question is asked too often and there's one answer to it. Pre-order statistics don't matter! I see everyday, sometimes weekly that either the PS4 has halted their pre-orders or the Xbox One has sold out on major online marketplaces. Unless we get the official numbers, we can't compare how many people prefer the Xbox One over the PS4, or vice versa. For all we know, PS4 might have only had 100,000 PS4's on sale which is why it sells out so much, and the Xbox One has 500,000 Xbox One's on sale which is why they don't sell out that frequently.

Microsoft has fixed their scars, but it won't heal. Most people already switched from the Xbox One to PS4 when they originally heard that they will have an online requirement, DRM policies, family sharing, and so on. They have no intentions of returning to Xbox One because Microsoft has made some bad decisions. Again, we can only tell which console will be more popular once they officially release.

I do believe these fixes will help them a lot in the long run.
While the initial blow of their stupid decisions and horrible ways of communicating their vision, paired with questionable priorities when it comes to who to target with their reveals and such MIGHT have hurt their pre-orders and even still might hurt their sales for the first 1 or 2 years, those things tend to blow over rather quickly. So what they've done BEFORE release hardly seems to matter that much in the long run.

I'm not saying they'll necessarily come out on top because for that, unless they have an amazing marketing campaign and pull some more great exclusives on board in the next 2-3 years (and maybe even turn out to have the better technology) or Sony squanders what they have right now, that 100 Dollar difference and the worse publicity DOES matter, as it's a bit of a momentum thing. But they're probably going to do fine if they don't continue to make horrible business decisions down the road. Just like the PS3 ended up doing just fine.

It will have an effect on sales of course but I don't know if it will be enough to topple Sony. At one side, we have a game console who seems to be doing everything right and at another, we see a console trying to make amends with its mistakes. I'd definitely go for the latter. Microsoft seems always to be a step behind Sony every time. That would not bode well in the long run.

The PS3 lost the last console war... which means they came in second to the console that had a habit of overheating. It also means they lost to the console that came out last and was considered laughable. I'm just saying - as an analogy this is probably not the best one. Also I hate the Xbone because its based on lies and a deep belief in the stupidity of the consumer. So yeah.

It lost?, if the PS3 lost, then the 360 didn't even appeared. The only reason the Wii came out and was so successful was because how much it was marketed for the casual market, and the whole gimmicky feature.
