I found this out today when I was playing around with my ps4 , that when you have your mic and earphone plugged into your controller, you can talk to your dashboard which app to play and what to do etc.

Yep, if you pull the left trigger while in the home menu, it will give you a list of basic voice commands.

Yeah a little menu comes up when you plug in your mic to the controller. I don't know if this is common knowledge, but you can also double tap the PS button to go to the last app your played. Pretty neat. Just trying to spread the word for people who don't know

Wow, thanks for sharing this. I didn't even know this existed. I think they should have talked more about this feature during the launch and in the advertisements. Will check it out soon. Thanks for the tip!

It actually works better than a lot of other speech recognition kind of apps because of the close proximity of mic to voice and the limited amount of commands you can give. Its a cute little addition to the functionality though it could never be a selling point. That's probably why its not talked about very much because when you put a bunch of money down you're not really concerned about how you get your controller to do things through your voice as much as you are about the games that you are playing.
