iPhone or Android Phone?

Which kind of phone do you prefer - iPhone or Android? I like the look of the iPhone but they are too expensive for me so I have the Android. Plus there are a lot more free apps on Android than what I hear from the iPhone.

I am not a fan of the iPhone so my choice would be the Android phone. I know more people that have Droid's over iPhone's. I've never really been a fan of Apple products (had problems with my iPod).

Android phones are my choice, too. For one thing, Android is a Google product and you can always count on their team to keep improving and tweaking. Just look at how many operating systems they have already developed for Android phones.

GabbyGamer, I do agree that Android phones are great because they are constantly improving but at the same time they do have their issues. I have had some problems with phone updates. Sometimes it will cause my phone to stop working correctly and they tell me I have to reset everything to default.

I have never used an Android phone, so I can not make a proper comparison. I have an Iphone, and once I jailbroke it, I enjoyed the phone better.

Zenon, I don't have an iPhone but I am curious about jailbreaking. What were you able to do differently once you jailbroke your phone? I hear the term a lot but I've never really understood what difference it makes.

Neither for me. I don't like iPhones because without jailbreaking them, the phones practically wed you to Apple. Android is not really an OS for my style. I've been using Symbian smartphones so far, and nowadays I'm interested in Windows Phone 7 devices. The MeGoo-based Nokia phones are cool too.

I like both. I never really liked the Apple iPhone, but I do like Verizon's version of the iPhone. It is very nice! When I upgraded my phone about a month ago, I almost got the LG Enlighten. I think it's an android.

Android all the way,IOS to restrictive where android is open source,no need for jail breaking etc.
So many choice of phones and tablets with android where only Apple can make IOS devices.

I used to love Symbian back in the day, started with the original Nokia 6600,then N70 and N95 (still have those 3 btw) and I was never a fan of touch screens but when I got my first android a few years back (Galaxy S I9000) I was pretty much hooked.
I recently only just ebayed that phone though. Have been using the Galaxy S3 for a about a year now but I also have a Motorola RZR XT910.

Iphone does have a lot of practicality to it, but they rip off consumers something fierce.

I love my Droid. I highly considered getting an iPhone, because I have a mac which I absolutely adore, and I've never had any issue with apple products. The reason I decided against it is because everyone I know with an iPhone managed to crack the screen within just a few months of having it. They seem so delicate and I'm notorious for breaking technology, so I wanted a phone that could withstand my unintentionally destructive ways.

Pretty much my reasoning as well. I like how Android isn't as restrictive as iOS and enabled you to do a larger variety
of things. However, one can also argue that the one tablet and phone Apple makes are better (depends who you talk
to) then the other android devices.

I prefer Android to the iPhone. The iPhone is nice don't get me wrong but the Android has much better features and it has a lot of room to grow.

Just an FYI there's an apple conference today to cover the new iPhones. So if you're really on the fence about this debate today would be the day that could help turn you to one side or the other. As for me, I have so much invested into the iPhone I'm not sure I could switch right now. I mean, who spend 10 bucks on Manga viewers....

=\ hah anyway. Its probably going to be a good conference information wise, check it out.

At present I'm a fan of the iPhone, even though I've switched between iPhones and Android phones numerous times. Though I really like rooting and customizing my Android phones, there's just too much uncertainty with the development. Sometimes you get bad battery drain because the rooted apps you're using have bad code, sometimes your phone glitches too much because the ROM you booted plain sucks. On top of that, I'm just not a fan of the Android OS look, especially when it comes to how some of the developers publish their apps and games. A lot of it just looks like crap compared to the iPhone.

iPhone on the other hand, when you can jailbreak, the mods are pretty awesome, and just enough of what I want customized to make me happy. It's not as streamlined as Android, but I don't do too many crazy things anymore anyway. Much of the mods I make tend to be for hiding things or small tweaks for accessibility sake. I also just like how if you don't choose to jailbreak, you can count on upgrades. Whereas, you can buy any kind of Android phone and not have a guarantee on development on the device for the latest Android OS.
