iPhone or Android Phone?

I prefer Android coming from using the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4. I think that the Android in my opinion looks better and has more to customize. I like the interactive background you can put as your wallpaper. There isn't much difference really after that. I rooted my S4 and you can like overclock your CPU of under volt it and such but for an everyday user, it doesn't get used much.

I actually have an old school flip phone myself. But I've tried I Phones and Androids. I like I Phones a little better. There are more applications I think and the ones I tried were better. I like the look and feel of the I Phone too. Did anyone read that amazon is going to give away smart phones for free? That will cause apple to drop the cost of the iphone. Amazon is just going to charge a monthly fee for a call/data plan.

Wow I hadn't heard about that. Now that will definitely give Apple's iPhone some competition. I will be checking up on this.

Android. I used to be an Apple fanboy but once I started to realize how restricted I was with an iOS device, I made the switch. I am so much happier with my Android phone than I was with my iPhone. The only thing is, there are a lot of app devs who only make apps for iOS. They're starting to develop for Android now that it's becoming increasingly popular, but there are some apps that I wish they would make for Android that they haven't.

As someone who's had both, definitely Android. There is just flat out more freedom involved. If you like dragging and dropping all of your files and not having to mess with iTunes at all, Android is for you.

Most people want a phone that works well, lets them run the apps they want, and is easy to use. On that front, the iPhone wins hands down. Apple’s intense focus on ease of use, quality experience, and things just working makes it the clear choice for most users. If you’re particularly concerned with what your phone costs, you’ll probably choose Android. That’s because some Android phones, when paired with a new two-year contract from a phone company, are free. While Apple didn't used to offer a free iPhone, the 4 is now free with a two-year contract. Still, free Android phones offer some newer specs. I'f you get a prepaid plan for an Android phone you can save a lot of money on your phone bill. If you find that you've maxed out the storage on your iPhone, you're pretty much out of luck, whereas with an Android phone you can pop in a new SD card and have gigabytes more storage to play with. Similarly, you can swap out a spare battery for longer trips or even get an extended battery that'll help your phone go longer without charging.

Depends on your needs really. I had an iPhone for the longest time. Although I wanted something a bit more flexible with files. If you enjoy buying or using apps, I would say Apple. I personally LOVE my Note 2.

Android all the way, it just offers way much freedom in the customizing you can do to your phone/tablet. It's very rare to see people with custom homescreens and apps when compared with iPhone which almost the same most of the time. And in term of upgrades it's just easier with an android machine.

I've experienced both devices and I can safely state that iphone consists of a better phone however, in terms of Applications and games, I would say Android is better. personally because it costs 99$ for an Appstore account per year whereas Android only costs 25$ for a developer account. My point of view might be biased (If so, pardon me). But I personally prefer as an overall the Apple products. The android phones just are a tad glitchy. For example you aren't capable of keeping track of which app is running accurately.

I once asked my older brother if he would give up his iPhone and switch to an Android phone. He told me never. He likes apple phones and he is not switching ever.

Well I think that iPhone might not be the best choice as it's market value falls when another iPhone is introduced by apple, like the market value of iPhone 4 must have been affected because iPhone 5 was introduced, sos I think it's better to go for any other Android Phone rather than for iPhone.

I prefer the iPhone for their ios, look, security, applications, etc but it's really expensive for what it does, the Android is more accessible and covers almost anything the iPhone does, the only downfall is probably the durability, the iPhone is going to work for at least 4-5 years while I've seen androids broken within one 1 year.

I have seen a lot of good and bad points for both Apple and Android phones. I agree with an earlier post that it depends on what your needs are. I think that should be the reason for what type of phone you buy.

I've used both in the past year. I now own an iPhone. The problem I had with the Android was that it was a work phone, p***ed down to me after another person or two had used it.

It crashed all the time. Constantly. This might just be with age, because it worked fine aside from that. What I don't like about Androids is the pre-loaded apps that you can't get rid of. I'm never going to use the NASCAR app, or that golfing game I have to pay for. iPhones are a lot condensed and cleaner.

You had 3rd hand phone, you cant go on that.
And actually you can get rid of any software that comes with the phone.
You need to 'root' it,this give you 'admin' access basically and lets see all files and folders on the phone and so allows you to delete any 'bloatware' you wish.
Most android phones can be rooted, you just need to find the right guide for any particular phone.

I have both an iPhone for work/business calls and an Android phone for personal use; heck I still have a pager

I find both phones equal, I do understand iOS a little more though. But I have zero apps/games on either phone.

I only have an iphone and really I love it. I love its many applications besides the awesome screen touch that works wonderfully. I as well love its battery due to its durability ability to keep charge since from last year when I bought it has been working perfectly and I haven’t observed any unfamiliar happenings.

Which kind of phone do you prefer - iPhone or Android? I like the look of the iPhone but they are too expensive for me so I have the Android. Plus there are a lot more free apps on Android than what I hear from the iPhone.

I have an android myself. The android market does provide more apps than the iphone market in my estimation. However, if I could get the iphone instead of the android I would. The android doesn't seem to be a reliable operating system, at least not on the devices that I have owned. I have proven that the iphone is a stronger, more lasting operating system.

I once asked my older brother if he would give up his iPhone and switch to an Android phone. He told me never. He likes apple phones and he is not switching ever.

I would expect. Iphone is top brand. I think it's the name that's associated with the devices that distinguishes and sets them apart. Iphone is superb:cool:
