I have had my new PS4 for about 2 months. I'm having some different intermittent playback issues.
1. During playback of some Blu-Rays (some of which are brand new), the circle icon just spins and spins and never loads the movie. This is even when I selected "No connection" to internet for playback. Then, I reboot the PS4 and it typically works again. Bizarre.
2. During playback of some DVD's, there is a lot of skipping. Last night, I was playing "The Returned", which I got from the library. I looked at the back of the disc and it had some marks on it but I played it in my computer's DVD player and it worked just fine.
Have not played any disc-based games yet, just downloaded PSN content.
The PS4 has already been reformatted once. Do you think since this is an intermittent issue, it's even worth sending it back to Sony? If they can't replicate the issue, I just get it back as is, right?
