Third-part games that deserve a sequel and/or follow-up?

What about Samurai Showdown? It was such a bad ass 2D versus game. I loved playing it at the arcades and on the SNES. I do hope that it gets a sequel.

I'd love for a Samurai Showdown or just a Fatal Fury. KOF is basically Fatal Fury, but still.

Graphics and Roaster. What else can you change in a sports game? Add jetpacks?

Set NFL in the 22nd century, have a field with hazards, playing in acid rain and raining fire, ball set to explode at overtime, rejuvenation tanks, etc.

Sidd, Sidd...hey Sidd, you see that? Do that to sports games. That right there. Do that or move sports games to 2 years and support rosters with updates.

...and make Bones Justice retired to start and return 2 years into franchise mode.
