Why did you stop playing your PlayStation 1?

Pretty sure I never had one - it just wasn't something I apparently cared about. I was more into Nintendo and the final shudders of Sega. Apparently I'm very conservative when it comes to investing in new console lines.

I never stopped.. I don't really get people who stop playing their older games like they are suddenly irrelevant..

I still have it, but I think because I had gotten a PS2 and just didn't use it anymore.

I stopped playing my ps1 because I got a backwards-compatible ps2 on release day that actually enhanced the ps1 graphics.

Once I got the PS2 I decided to give PS1 to a friend of mine. They really didn't have much money to get PS2 or any game console so I gave to her kids with most of the games. They were thrilled which made it all worth while.

Because new on arrived and better graphics. I admit it that I love reality the more character looks like human the more I like it.

I stopped the Christmas ps2 came out. Still use crash bandicoot as my avatar though, long live ps1

I quit playing PS1 the moment I was given a PS2 from my parents almost 14 years ago. I felt the PS2 was far more superior with game mechanics and graphics. That and there was Final Fantasy X which I preferred playing over the older FF games at the time when I was younger.
