The sports games certainly don't stand the test of time. I went back and played some of the gamebreakers and maddens for Playstation and they were terrible in terms of graphics and controls. I can't believe how much the sports games have advanced since the late 90s and early 2000s.

Yeah, I am also worried that they think it will sell on its own due to the novelty factor. Like 3ds incorporating the augmented reality style in only one or two games so far. That doesn't cut it. It needs to be used and used widely in multiple games.

I played SSX a few times. It was good but didn't stand up to the king of snowboarding games which is 1080 snowboarding for N64. That game is sick even though the graphics are kind of weak. It's all about the fun factor and 1080 brought it.

Ha-ha. Nobody said they were going to take an entire week off unless I skipped over a post. I wonder how many people are going to call in sick when the new consoles are released. I'm trying to convince a few friends to take off on that day too so that I'm not all alone in my man cave.

I can't bring myself to buy the vita. It's just not worth the cost when I already have a 3DS. I have too many consoles aside from the DS. So, I can't justify spending even more. I probably won't buy another hand held unit for 5 years or so.

Yes. The online element puts this game at a perfect score. It is on my top five all time list. I would definitely use the $50 walmart credit on GTA V. It will hold you over till the next generation consoles hit. I can't stop playing this game!

Those graphics are remarkable. It looks like real pictures from actual places that exist. Tell us more about this game. I haven't heard about it at all. Those pictures alone make me want to buy it.

I would not be surprised if they gave up on the Vita. I never considered buying it and I buy almost every console/handheld system available. There are very few that I do not own and Vita is one of them. I just thought that the 3DS was far superior and I would not have time to play two hand...

I haven't played dead or alive either. Sould calibur dominated my free time when it came to fighting games. That and killer instinct. I actually played killer instinct for snes over my phone line against other games with the xband service! I'll eventually have to give dead or alive a shot...

I guess it kind of depends on the genre too. RPG players want a good story while sports gamers and action gamers do not require a good story or sometimes don't even need a story at all. It gets tricky with hybrid style games that are action/rpg because you have to cater to both types of...

I think the stories are somewhat important. I really enjoyed the Heavy Rain story, Suikoden's story, Red Faction and a few others. But the gameplay and graphics matter just as much. Most gamers will overlook a bad story for good graphics and the fun factor.

I am looking forward to Call of Duty, NBA2k14 and Madden 25 the most. I think Madden 25 is going to disappoint as it sounds like there aren't that many improvements from the PS3 to the PS4 version. I'm probably looking forward to Call of Duty the most out of all of them.
